Hi, I’m Mercia - Clinical Psychologist and founder of SelfWorks Psychology.
Therapy with me is collaborative, focused, and grounded in understanding you as an individual. My work draws on attachment theory and Affect-State Therapy, helping clients make sense of how early experiences shape their patterns of feeling, thinking, and relating today.
Clients describe me as warm, responsive, and curious. I aim to see things through your eyes while maintaining focus and accountability in our sessions — creating a space where deeper self-understanding can take shape.
I have more than 10 years of experience working across diverse settings, supporting adults and adolescents with concerns such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, and self-doubt. I’ve completed extensive training in evidence-based therapies, including CBT, ACT, and Affect-State Therapy.
It’s important that you feel confident in your choice of therapist. I offer a free 15-minute introductory call, so you can ask questions and get a sense of how I work.
